Introduction to the Bitcoin Section

At Droid Poker, we are excited about Bitcoin. You might know them as the virtual currency that goes up and down more than a bungee jumper, but we see them as the future of online payments – and that means that all mobile poker sites should start adopting this payment method as soon as possible. Currently, there aren’t many that do support Bitcoin, but we’ve developed this section in the hope that they will in the future.

First and foremost, we should probably run you through what Bitcoin actually is. In a nutshell, it is an online payment method, which functions without the need for a bank. This means that Bitcoin is only controlled by one factor: the people who use it. Therefore, there are no banks meddling with its rate, or governments forcing the value higher or lower. In order to buy Bitcoins, you’ll need to head to one of the many online currency dealers, or buy them privately through an exchange site.

What is there to discuss about Bitcoin though? Well, we’ll be producing articles on a variety of different aspects of this exciting payment method, including how you can buy Bitcoins, which mobile poker sites will accept them and how they compare to other forms of payment, such as mobile (phone bill) payments and Ukash. We also know that many readers might not be familiar with this payment method, so we’ll be producing a beginner’s guide to Bitcoin as well – after you’ve read it, you’ll be desperate to find a site accepting them!

If you’ve got any questions about Bitcoin, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We’ll get back to you as soon as possible and might even feature your question right here on Droid Poker! Have a look around this section at some of the other depositing methods too – we’ve reviewed everything from Visa through to Ukash, so you know the best way to fund your mobile poker experience.
