Full Tilt Gains Full Access to NYX Gaming’s OGS
Full Tilt and the Canadian Gaming Supplier NYX Gaming Group have cemented a partnership deal, giving the site immediate access to hundreds of casino games on both mobile and desktop.
Although Full Tilt was originally a poker-exclusive site, it has now entered the realm of casino games and thus joins its sister network PokerStars in diversifying the stream of revenue. We look into what this deal means for poker players and casino aficionados alike.
This week, it was announced that NYX Gaming Group have opened the doors of the Open Gaming System (OGS) to Full Tilt. The NYX Gaming Group claims to be the widest-reaching, real-money game distributor, and it might as well be so. The move comes as part of the six-year deal that was struck between the two parties back in spring, and Full Tilt will certainly benefit from obtaining this premium game suite.
In industry speak, the OGS is a very strong casino product as it features games that are not merely created by NYX Gaming, but also other third-party software developers such as ELK Studios, NextGen Gaming, Thunderkick and more. There are hundreds of titles compatible with all sorts of mobile devices and casino game players will find some of their favourite titles among them: Electric Sam, Esqueleto Explosivo, Medusa II and Foxin’ Wins Again.
Will Poker Remain First and Foremost?
However, not everyone is so happy about this news – Full Tilt is a poker site after all, isn’t it? Well, as part of diversifying its gambling products, the site has followed in the footsteps of its sister poker site PokerStars. It launched its casino game suite back in February, started offering live dealer games in March, and even entered sports betting in April. And while there was initial uproar and players were concerned as to whether the site could sustain its high quality poker offerings, the nay-sayer voices have largely died down.
Obviously, the vast majority of poker players will welcome the addition of the casino suite to Full Tilt, as they are very likely to have accounts at other sites just to play casino games. For example, PokerStars had found that 40-50% of their players had an account with other gambling operators. Thus, the OGS integration will mean that they can find all of the entertainment they require on one site, and simply maintain just one account.
Integrating casino games makes a lot of sense, as the competition to attract gamblers of all sorts is tough out there. Therefore, the more diverse products that you offer as a gambling site, the higher the likelihood of attracting large numbers of players who may be interested in just the poker at first, but soon discover the joys of video slots as well when they get bored of poker. Furthermore, we are sure that Full Tilt will follow the example of PokerStars and use some of its casino profits to increase the spending on making their poker offerings even more exciting and technologically brilliant.
