Introduction to News in 2014

"2014" digits displayed on four mobile phones

Over the last couple of years, we’ve seen some absolutely massive developments – such as instant fold poker, new video poker machines and some Winner Poker Logo – but 2014 promises to top them all in terms of prizes, excitement and variety. At Droid Poker, we’ll be there every step of the way, with our fingers hovering over the keyboard, ready to let you know about any new strands to the mobile poker world, as soon as they are announced.

But what do we think will fill the mobile poker news feeds this year? Well, we don’t have a crystal ball, but we can make some pretty good guesses… For starters, we fully expect the different table poker sites to introduce a much larger variety of games to mobile players – we all know that simply offering Hold ‘Em isn’t going to keep people interested forever – and that mobile casinos will develop some immensely innovative versions of video poker. You never know, Full Tilt Poker might even get around to adding something more than Rush Poker to their offering!

We can also confidently predict that the amount of money to be won will rise massively over the coming year, simply due to the fact that more and more people are discovering the joys of poker on their mobile. The more players there are, the more money will be in the pot – plus the more mobile poker sites will have to offer in order to attract these players! This will also mean some ginormous bonuses being introduced, in the hope of attracting new players.

Finally, we fully expect to see an influx of new mobile poker sites, especially from the online poker sites that have yet to venture into the mobile poker landscape. And guess what? As soon as they are launched, we’ll be among the first to let you know. The new additions will need to impress us though, as we don’t hold back when we don’t like a site!

At Droid Poker, we are dedicated to bringing you every news story from the world of mobile poker, so it looks like 2014 will be a busy year for this site! Make sure to check back regularly — even if you only catch up using the weekly roundup — so that you know exactly what is happening throughout this exciting and rapidly-expanding industry!
