Nominees Now Accepted For Women In Poker Hall of Fame
Poker Central, critized for its lack of original programming in the past, is launching a new show tomorrow. ‘Inside Poker With Matt Savage‘ will feature interviews with industry hot-shots, poker pro tips, poker news from around the world and more. This series will be the network’s first go at producing an original series, which will first air tomorrow at 9:30 ET on Poker Central.
You may recall the riveting news announcing the Poker Central launch and its mission to be all about poker, all of the time. However, the excitement was short-lived when viewers complained the network lacked any original series and only featured material that was broadcast material before or available on other sources too. Now, this is about to change with Matt Savage hosting the ‘Inside Poker’ series.
What Will The Series Be About
Poker Central, the world’s only 24/7 poker network, have chosen Matt Savage to host their brand new show, but for those not familiar with the man, we have a quick crash course. Matt Savage is a poker director, having officiated a whole host of poker tournaments on live television. Clearly, he was the obvious choice when choosing a host for the show, as he’s hosted world-famous poker events such as the World Series and will most certainly do a great job when it comes to producing engaging content.
And what precisely will the series be about? Well, the press release states that there will be in-depth and no-taboo interviews with industry icons and trending topics of the poker industry. Plus, you can also expect gameplay tips from poker pros, insider stories from the world’s most prestigious events and card rooms in the USA.
As a little taste of what’s to come further in the series, the first episode will have not just one, not two but three interviews! First, Mike ‘The Mouth’ Matusow, who has $9 million in tourney profits) will make an appearance, then World Series of Poker Executive Director Ty Stewart will share his wisdom of the industry and third, Greg Merson’s story will be shared. And that’s definitely a story worth sharing, as the man has fought addiction to win $8.5 million in the 2012 WSOP Main Event!
Clint Stinchcomb, the CEO over at Poker Central, said: ‘Poker Central is committed to being the world’s TV channel for all things poker, by providing unprecedented coverage of the poker world and insider access to the incredibly talented professionals who make the game so compelling for viewers around the globe.’
Have a look at the preview of the show to decide for yourself if you want to catch the first episode of ‘Inside Poker with Matt Savage’ at 9:30 ET tomorrow, March 7th on Poker Central.
